Sleep is what everyone loves to do and while we are in an unconscious state, our mind is not. Our mind is as active as it can be and that is why we dream while we are sleeping. While some of you may not remember what you dreamt of while you were asleep, but that doesn’t mean that you don’t have dreams. It’s 90% of dreams that we tend to forget and only 10% remains in our memory. While an average human spends about 6 to 7 years of his life dreaming, there are a number of facts you probably didn’t know about them. Here are some facts about dreams:

While you may have a lot of dreams, but a dream remains in your memory only till 5 minutes after you’re awake.

Research at Harvard Medical School says that instead of burning your midnight oil mugging up your books and notes, you can sleep instead. A dream can help you to not only learn but also to solve problems. Though noise in the bedroom can give your ability to learn a downturn.
3. Not all dreams are full of color!
Not everyone’s dream is colorful. About 12% people’s dream were devoid of colors and were black and white according to the study of 1915. Though today, only 4.4% of dreams are black and white.
4. Orgasm dreaming!
Strange but true! You can experience the pleasure of sex and can have an orgasm while lucid dreaming without any wet results. The pleasure amounts same as the sensations in real life.

According to the survey, it’s been found that you can control your dreams and dream within dreaming though it is not a task everyone can do. So yes! lucid dreaming is a real thing.
14. Dream Paralysis
During sleep, while you’re dreaming, you may do some physical movements which can end up hurting you. To prevent this, during Rapid Eye Movement sleep, there is a mechanism in the brain which paralyzes the body to prevent it from injuries.
