Reasons Why Milind Soman Is A Perfect Inspiration


Milind Soman was born in a Maharashtrian middle-class family in Glasgow, Scotland. His father Prabhakar Soman was a nuclear scientist with the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre while his mother Usha is a biochemist, who taught at Wilson College, Mumbai. He completed his Diploma in Electrical Engineering from M. H. Saboo Siddik Polytechnic, Byculla. He was a national-level swimmer for India and was then discovered as a model. Milind is an avid and a very strong sportsman. He has been a national level swimmer. He started representing Maharashtra from the age of 10.

Above all, he is a great actor, model, sports person, and a producer. He also entered his name in Limca Book of Record. He ran 1500 Kms in 30 days for Greenathon.

Despite the humidity and bad weather, Milind Soman has created history on asphalt, as he has run over five hundred kilometers barefoot. Also, he has posted updates on social media. A fierce fitness promoter, Milind himself is a legend at 50 years and has different labels already. His idol is Muhammad Ali and dream is to become ‘ULTRAMAN’.

1. Back in 1995, he was the ultimate ‘Made In India’ in Alisha Chinai’s music video and then our own ‘Captain Vyom’.



2. He and his Miss India girlfriend Madhu Sapre rocked the youth like never before by posing nude for Tuffs Shoes. Just look at ‘em!!



3. His name was on Limca Book of Record when he ran 1500 Kms in 30 days for Greenathon organized by NDTV for the promotion of environmental safety.



4. He is the ambassador of Pinkathon, a women’s only running event to promote good health and breast cancer awareness among women.



5. In 2015, he became ‘Ironman’ winning the legendary Ironman Triathlon competition where he swam 3.8 Kms, cycled 180.2 Kms and ran 42.2 Kms



6. He also ran barefoot from Ahmedabad to Mumbai (570 Kms) as a part of ‘The Great India Run’ and the internet went all crazy.
