Meet the new ‘Fashionista’: America’s First Lady Melania Trump

The 2016 Presidential Elections of The USA created a lot of controversies and buzz in the whole world. With Donald Trump’s victory, how could we not take notice of America’s new ‘Fashionista’, the first lady Melania Trump?

The former Melania Knauss started dating President Donald Trump in 1998, married him in 2005 and gave birth to their son, Barron, the following year. She was born in Southeastern Slovenia and grew up in a prudent apartment in a housing block in Sevnica, in Slovenia’s Lower Sava Valley. She doesn’t really come from an elite background and apparently has a sister and a half brother whom she has never met.

Her modeling career started when she was 5 and appeared in her first commercials at the age of 16. She also became a runner-up in the 1992 Jana Magazine “Look of the Year” contest, held in Ljubljana. This lady has an amazing talent of speaking 5 languages, namely Slovenian, Serbian, English, French, and German. She also got featured in the 2000 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue because of her beauty as a bikini model.

Well, this beauty diva spares no expense and that can be understood by knowing the budget of her wedding party which was more than $1 million. Shocked? Whatever, might be her expenses, she is very precise and careful when it comes to do the role of a mother for her son Barron.

Melania Trump will assume the role of First Lady of the United States on January 20, 2017. She will be the second foreign-born woman to hold the position and the only First Lady till date not to have been a born citizen of the United States. At 5 foot 11 inches, she will also be one of the tallest First Ladies to hold the office, tied with Michelle Obama and Eleanor Roosevelt who were also that height.

Although it’s not surprising for a candidate’s wife to back her husband’s policies, many were disappointed by Melania’s enthusiasm for the Republican’s tough rant on migrants, having immigrated to the US herself.

She was equally nonchalant when questioned about Donald’s comments on “criminals” crossing the border into the US. “I don’t feel he insulted the Mexicans,” she said and further said “He said, ‘illegal immigrants’.”

Let’s see what all has this enthralling beauty has in store for US citizens and the whole world. Our eyes will be on you, Melania Trump!
