Baahubali is one of the most trending and successful movies in India. The movie is originally made in the Telugu language and is dubbed in various other languages. Its success has left the crowd hoping that movies like Baahubali should also be made in Bollywood. But the truth is, Bollywood can’t reach the level of competency that is required to release hits like Baahubali. Wanna know the reasons?

1. Budget

The budget of “Baahubali – The beginning” was 180 crores while that of “Baahubali – The conclusion” is 250 crores. On the contrary, in Bollywood, the highest budget reached is 180 crores which is of the movie “Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo”. This proves that even if the high budget movies of Bollywood are taken into consideration, no Bollywood producer can produce a movie worth more than 200 crores.

2. Tenure

The lead actor of the movie, Prabhas, did not sign any movie for 5 years in order to prepare for this movie and enhance his acting skills. Whereas, we all know that no Bollywood actor or actress would devote 5 years of their life to a single movie. Most of them actually sign two or three movies per year.

3. Weak female leads

Bollywood never puts forth strong female leads. Okay, exceptions always exist, like the female leads in “Queen”, “Dear Zindagi” and “Kahaani”. But compared to the rest, the female lead of Baahubali is much stronger than that of any Bollywood flick.

4. Less on-screen time for supporting cast

Bollywood never pays that much heed to the supporting cast, and hence doesn’t give a good amount of on-screen time to them. On the other hand, in Baahubali, although the main war was between Baahubali and Bhalla Deva, yet the second part of the story completely revolves around Katappa, who was seen on screen since the beginning.

5. Marketing

The marketing strategy used has played an important role in the stupendous success of this movie. No doubt the movie is made by a big production house, but the way its marketing has been done has set a benchmark for marketing of other movies. This includes marketing on social media, via sketched, selling men and women accessories, etc.
